About Mike Pretty
Michael first started programming back in 1999 while working for Bunch & Associates to help support himself while went to school, hoping for a career in medicine. Later, after transferring to the University of Florida, Michael began as a web developer for Gleim Publications, an aviation and accounting publishing company in Gainesville.
It was there that he realized that he enjoyed the challenges of web development and decided to switch the focus of his education to the IT field. Michael later joined the Web Department of CNP in 2006 where he has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from different clients. Mike brings substantial knowledge in: .NET, PHP, ASP, Javascript, VB, CSS, SQL Server, and MySQL. He can also work with Flash if he absolutely must, but he'd rather not.

Family
I have a beautiful wife, Kara, and two great dogs that don’t like each other. The dogs, not my wife. I also have a wonderful little girl, Kaylor.
Education
While being completely useless on my resume as a software developer, I feel my degree in Zoology from the University of Florida gives me a different, but good perspective into software development. I did get a minor in Computer Science and Engineering at least.
When not at the office I enjoy...
I'll admit it, I'm a gamer. There have been times when I have been playing PS2 and a game on my laptop at the same time. When not playing games, I'm spending time with my family or small group at church.
